Throughout the workday, movement is a constant. You’re up, you’re down and when seated, your ergonomic chair is designed to conform and healthily support movement.
Even the best task chairs can't do it all, though. Herman Miller tasked Bill Stumpf and Jeff Weber, the designers of the Embody chair, to take the science for ergonomics and their signature style and create a desk that allowed for freedom of movement. The result was the Envelop Desk.
When in a seated position, the desktop adjusts back and forth, allowing you to recline while still maintaining proper eye level with your monitor. By working with you, the Envelop reduces fatigue on your eyes, back and neck.
Additionally, the electric height-adjustable model of the Envelop increases your ability to move even more. When you’re ready to stand up, simply use the electric height adjustment and you’re done! The table automatically rises so that you can seamlessly move from a seated to standing position.
Prolonged sitting has been shown to carry a number of health risks, but is remedied with a simple solution: stand up. By alternating throughout the workday, you’ll feel more energetic and maintain better overall health and comfort.
The first desk designed to help you, your chair, your desk, and computer work together for better health and comfort, pull up to the Envelop at your office today.
